Greenville's North Main Street area (NOMA) is the perfect place for a Friday night full of family fun! Here's how we like to spend our time together there as we start the weekend:
First Stop (5:30 PM):
Grab a parking space that's centrally located to make walking with little ones easier! The Commons Garage at Beattie Place and Liberty Square garage are both good bets. Insider's Tip: If you don't mind walking a bit farther, you can park for FREE after 6 PM on Friday at two downtown locations, the Richardson Street Garage and the West Washington Street Deck.
Second Stop (6:00 PM to 7:30 PM):
Move and groove to live, outdoor music at the family-friendly Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays at NOMA Square! Enjoy everything from jazz and soul to beach music and blues. Young ones will love the special Kid's Corner area where they can hula hoop, climb and bounce on giant inflatables and even get their faces painted! Make sure to share one of the delicious waffles from the Greenville Waffle Company's cart...they're a toasty, tasty treat! Insider's Tip: You can purchase $12 wristbands for the kids to have unlimited fun in the Kid's Zone (single tickets are also available).
Last Stop (8:00 PM):
Take a quick walk down Main Street to Barley's for a late dinner. They have an awesome menu full of items the whole family can share (even picky eaters), and mom and dad can choose from a great selection of craft beers. It's the perfect way to end a perfect Friday night together downtown!
THAT Something Extra:
Extra stop for a sweet or savory (or both) treat:
Mix and match flavors to create popcorn perfection at Poppington's Gourmet Popcorn! With 75+ different varieties, the poppable possibilities are endless! Open until 11 PM on Fridays.
Extra stop for a cool, creative cone:
Let the kids choose their own "mix-in" toppings for an ice cream creation that's uniquely their own at Marble Slab! This popular sweet spot is open until 11:30 PM on Fridays.
