Prepare to treat your taste buds and feed your foodie soul with my weekend full of delicious Greenville dining!  Most of the restaurants below are within walking distance from one another, so if you're visiting from out of town, stay at one of the downtown hotels for easy access to great eats.  Ready to "Take a Bite Out of Greenville?"  Let's go!

Friday Dinner:

There's no better way to start the weekend than with Buffalo Fried Oysters and Provencale Mussels with Frites from The Trappe Door Insider's Tip: Get the truffle mayo for your frites...I promise you won't be sorry.

Saturday Breakfast:

For unbelievable Sweet Potato Pancakes and the most decadent Grits in town, you can't beat breakfast at Soby's on the SideInsider's Tip:  Their "Daily Motivations" menu items offer a delicious and savory way to celebrate each day of the week (Grilled Cheese Wednesdays and $4 Fridays are favorites!).

Saturday Lunch:

A visit to Vic's Pizza on E. Coffee Street will make you think you've been transported to Brooklyn, NY!  You may even get a "fuggedaboutit" as you thank the owner for your meal at this authentic pizza-by-the-slice shop.

Saturday Dinner:

On to dinner at The Lazy Goat!  My must-haves here include the Fried Goat Cheese (dusted with pistachios and drizzled with vanilla honey) and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts (served with Serrano ham, shaved Manchego cheese and sherry glace).  Enjoy your meal with a bountiful side dish of beautiful views overlooking the Reedy River....truly one of the best places in Greenville to dine alfresco!

Sunday Brunch:

The super short drive up N. Pleasantburg will be worth the trip as you wind up your foodie weekend with brunch at Southern Culture.  I love their Chicken and Waffle Taco and their "Build Your Own" Bloody Mary Bar.  Insider's Tip:  They fill up fast for brunch, so be sure to call ahead for reservations.

THAT Something Extra:

Listen...someone's tickling the ivories!

Unwind with friends as you enjoy live, late-night music, beverages and bites at the Westin Poinsett's Piano Bar and Lounge.  Did you know that this grand hotel served as a backdrop for several scenes in the movie, Leatherheads, starring George Clooney?
