American Grocery Restaurant strives to serve refined American, seasonal cuisine, featuring products sourced from local and regional farms and producers. The AGR team believes it is a restaurant’s responsibility to understand where the products come from, how they came to be, and the love with which those products were raised. The restaurant’s custom wine room holds over 100 hand-picked artisan, boutique wines from all over the globe which exhibit the same level of distinction as the daily menu. The award-winning cocktail list features hand-crafted libations which also highlight fresh, seasonal ingredients. AGR uses sustainable seafood and natural, hormone and antibiotic free meats and proteins from artisan producers. The menu changes frequently based on the freshest products that chef Clarke and his team can procure from local purveyors and the bounty of the seasons. An in-house pickling program preserves the seasons and chef Clarke’s butchery program utilizes the whole animals and is seen on dishes throughout the menu and in the charcuterie program. Featured dishes include fried deviled eggs; mussels with smoked paprika cream; grilled Romaine salad; potato crusted Sunburst trout; smoked pork belly; and local rabbit.
