Kings Mountain National Military Park

This free park is the historic site of The Battle of Kings Mountain. Fought October 7, 1780, this battle was the first major patriot victory following the British invasion of Charleston. Today, the park includes a visitor center with historical exhibits and hiking trails that surround the battlefield. Open daily from 9am-5pm. Closed major holidays.
