24th Annual Bicycle Film Festival

Bicycle Film Festival is returning to Greenville on September 28, 2024 at the Peace Center. Hosted by EF Education-ONTO Cycling.

Bicycle Film Festival has an incredible history. It began in New York City in 2001 by Brendt Barbur after being hit by a bus while riding a bicycle. He turned his negative experience into a positive one. For the past 24 years, BFF has been celebrating bicycles through art, film and music around world in over 100 cities to an audience of one million people.

This year, Bicycle Film Festival Greenville presents two film programs: Hard Miles (Feature Film starring Matthew Modine) and BFF Cinematic Shorts. BFF will appeal to a wide audience from film connoisseurs to avid cyclists and everyone in between.

2 pm: Hard Miles (feature film)

Hard Miles tells the uplifting true story of the bicycling team at Ridge View Academy, a medium-security correctional school in Colorado. The film follows beleaguered coach Greg Townsend (Matthew Modine) as he rounds up an unlikely crew of incarcerated students for a seemingly impossible bike ride from Denver to the Grand Canyon.

6 pm: BFF Cinematic (shorts)

Curated documentaries, narratives, animations, award-winning directors, and emerging talents - all share equal billing.

Valet Bicycle Parking will be provided under the bridge on the downtown Swamp Rabbit Trail.
