Book and a Beer with David Joy and Ace Atkins
Come July 16 at 7 pm for Book and a Beer with David Joy and Ace Atkins. Facilitated by their friend Brett Barest (who will introduce the beer and the author), David and Ace will both give a short reading from their newest books, followed by a Q&A time.
David's paperback release, The Line that Held Us, tells a story of revenge, family, and the unimaginable consequences that a single mistake can have. David has always been a staff favorite at M. Judson, but don't just take their word for it:
Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel calls The Line that Held Us "exquisitely written," and "heart-wrenching."
"A suspenseful page-turner," says the Los Angeles Times.
"No one writes about the issues facing rural America as clearly, as fairly, or as well as David Joy," says Wiley Cash.
The Shameless is New York Times bestselling author Ace Atkins' ninth novel in the critically acclaimed and award winning Quinn Colson series, which follows a Sheriff in Mississippi fighting corruption, drug trafficking, and organized crime in his home town.
Ace has also written several best selling novels continuing Robert B. Parker's Spenser series. And Ace knows what he's talking about when it comes to twists and suspense: before becoming a novelist he was a crime reporter and journalist (and played football at Auburn University!)
