Camacho Duo - Four Hands, One Piano!
Kristin and Dionisio Camacho - Kristin, originally from Flagstaff, AZ, met Dionisio when she was an undergraduate at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Dionisio, from Mexico City, had earned his undergraduate degree at the Escuela Superior de Musica in Mexico, where as first prize winner of the Interamerican Piano Competition he was awarded a scholarship to study at the Cleveland Institute of Music under renowned pianist Sergei Babayan.
Dionisio and Kristin moved to Tempe, AZ, to pursue Masters of Piano Performance degrees at Arizona State University under Caio Pagano. They were married in Flagstaff in 2004. Shortly after, they moved to Miami, FL, to teach applied piano and music appreciation at Barry University. They were also active performers and arrangers for Miami Piano Circle, a chamber music group that presents works composed and arranged for up to ten pianos playing simultaneously.
Dionisio and Kristin moved to Greenville in 2019 where they currently reside. Kristin is the music director at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, and Dionisio is the music director at Greenville Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Kristin and Dionisio are the parents of Nora and Lily and fur babies Zeus, Maia, and Tin Tan.
