Children's Manners & Tea Etiquette
CHILDREN'S MANNERS & TEA ETIQUETTE: (Demo & Tasting)
More than a set of rules, etiquette and manners teach us to respect each other and ourselves. In this course, Professor Sybil Davis will teach children ages 8 through 13 how to navigate some of the complex behaviors that make Southern hospitality world famous. Your young gentleman or lady will learn how to behave politely at a restaurant, how to make a great first impression, and even what to do in case of a spill.
Using a formal tea service as the framework, this course teaches etiquette do’s and don’ts that are sure to make your family mealtimes more enjoyable and give your child a confidence boost! And, of course, class ends with a delightful array of small pastries and finger food.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Trained at The Protocol School of Washington, Professor Davis is a Certified Children’s Etiquette and Manners Trainer and Tea Etiquette Consultant with more than 20 years of teaching experience.
This course is designed for independent children between the ages of 8 and 13, but we understand that some parents/guardians may wish to remain in the classroom. If you'd like to participate in the class with your child, please select the optional fee for ""Child With One Parent"" during checkout (additional $30). As class sizes are currently limited to ensure social distancing, enrollment is restricted to one parent/guardian per child.
Because dressing well is a part of feeling confident in a formal setting, this course encourages students to wear the following:
- Boys should wear a long-sleeve shirt with a dark colored sport jackets (if possible) and khaki or dark colored pants.
- Girls should wear a long-sleeve blouse with a neat, dark-colored sweater or jacket (if possible) and khaki or dark-colored pants. Solid color dresses and skirts are also acceptable.
- Please, no blue jeans or sneakers.
