Drama Studio IV Performance: Twelfth Night

The SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities Drama Department, known for alumni who have become well-known Broadway, film, and TV actors, presents a Studio IV production of Twelfth Night. Written just after Hamlet and at the height of Shakespeare’s artistic powers, Twelfth Night plunges into the fantastical work of Illyria, a land where disorder and extremity are the norms, while reason and sanity are foreign. Shakespeare employs adventure, comedy, pathos, and music to explore themes of self-discovery and transformation, and introduces us to some of his most singular characters along the way. This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required and can be made beginning April 25 by calling 864.282.3737.
