Emma Ballou
October 3: First Friday and Artist Reception 6:00 - 8:00pm
Emma Ballou (Biddeford, M.E.) is an impressionist painter inspired by the dense pine forests, sprawling fields, and coastal towns of Southern Maine where she finds a relationship to the places that surrounded her upbringing and continue to influence her work today. Emma’s artistic practice is a response to the colors, energies, textures, and compositions that visually surround her life and influence her personal narrative. Everyday she works on creating an internal and external world that speaks to all the various aspects of her life; art, family, love, creative freedom, and growth. Ultimately, her goal is to create a connection that moves her viewers in some way through her work.
