Greenville Zoo Conservation Lecture: Little Things That Run the World
Though generally more widely recognized for their roles as pests, carriers of disease, and just plain nuisances, insects play extremely important beneficial roles, too, as pollinators in agricultural systems, and as key players in natural ecosystems. In this lecture you’ll get to know some of these beneficial insects, from bees to butterflies to beetles, a little better, and discuss challenges and strategies for their conservation.
