Homeschool Day at the Preserve
Lake Conestee Nature Preserve is offering a second homeschool day this Spring on April 23rd. This is a drop off ONLY field trip that is open to 5-11 year old children and will combine some student-led exploration with instructor led lessons.
April 23rd will be all about rivers! Younger students will investigate the differences between rivers and lakes. The older students will look at river morphology and how rivers change over time and how they change the landscape. All groups will get to use our EmRiver Stream Table model to take a closer look at all of these concepts and do a little trash pickup in honor of Earth Day.
This event is restricted to 20 participants. The group will be divided into two teaching groups based on age. Age groups will be determined when registration closes. There will be a place in the registration form where you can request for sibling groups to stay together.
Friday, April 23rd, 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM
840 Mauldin Rd., Greenville, SC
$12 for 1st child, $10 for additional children
