Jocassee Valley History Tour With Claudia Hembree
From the mid 1800s through 1965, families who settled Jocassee Valley worked, played, and raised children in this place once called "The Yosemite of the South." Social life included Camp Jocassee for Girls, church, and Sunday picnics on the Whitewater River. Hear illuminating stories of life in the valley from Claudia Hembree, who lived here as a child, and who would later write the community history of families who called this place home. Lovers of local history will not want to miss this tour!
