Sirsy | Live Music

Sirsy’s fronted by singer/songwriter & drummer, Melanie (who drums while standing). Mel’s incredible voice drives Sirsy’s passionate performances. She’s accompanied by masterful guitarist, hubby & co-writer Rich (who at live shows plays the bass on a pedalboard with his feet). These 2 manage to sound like a full band and, despite all their multitasking, do it all with big smiles on their faces.

Sirsy has 8 albums of catchy originals and, if needed, can throw in enough covers to fill an entire night (Nina Simone, Fleetwood Mac, Beatles, Prince, Black Keys, Radiohead, Brandi Carlile). Their live show is friendly with lots of folk-like intimacy, stories from the road, and endearing nerdy jokes. SIRSY travels with sound and lights if you need them to provide their own production.

The band has performed 200+ shows/year nationally, for the past 16 years. They’ve warmed stages for Brandi Carlile, Grace Potter, Maroon 5, Train, Collective Soul, Spindoctors, Cheap Trick, Blues Traveler, Joan Jett, to name a few. Their music was featured on the hit tv show “Shameless” on Showtime, and on the NFL, PBS, MTV, and NPR. Mel has drum endorsements with Paiste and Vater – she’s also been featured in Modern Drummer.
