Water by the Spoonful

This Pulitzer Prize winning play (2012) weaves together the stories of Iraq war veteran Elliot desperately trying cope at home, his cousin Yaz whose love for music has led her from poverty to professorship, Odessa, the motherly moderator of an online support group for addicts, and three other lost souls whose lives intersect in surprising ways. A heartfelt meditation on lives in crisis — and on the brink of redemption — Water by the Spoonful was written by Tony nominee Quiara Alegría Hudes (In the Heights).
