When planning a trip to Greenville, it’s no secret that you’ll be looking for activities to do with your friends, family, and coworkers that are affordable, right? Too often, plans turn into golf, bowling, dinner, and a movie. Go off the beaten path and visit Craft Axe Throwing at Hampton Station!

There you’ll enjoy a laidback space for friendly competition that’ll generate friendly banter, teamwork and maybe even some flirting around the excitement of throwing sharp hatchets at targets.

The urban sport of axe throwing was created in Toronto, Ontario Canada in 2006 when a group of friends, bored and with nothing better to do than throw some axes at wood, unwittingly started a new sport. Fast forward 15 years and it’s now a worldwide phenomenon with leagues that feature on ESPN.

For a sport born purely by accident, axe throwing has had an unexpected appeal to those that crave a bit of unconventional adventure. And while some may see this as just another guys-night-out type of activity, a visit to Craft Axe Throwing will take your night to a whole new level.

The overall premise is simple: try to land the axe at the center of the target. The closer to the center, the more points you get. It’s a mix of darts and bowling. Darts, because you must hit a target to score points. Bowling, because you’ll find lanes sectioned off so that two teams can compete against each other.

So, as you enjoy your time with those you hold dear, add that element of competition over a round of the best local beers at Craft Axe Throwing soon!
