A staple at Taylors Mill since 2016, it’s no wonder that the Model Trains Station was featured as a 2022 Best of the Upstate Awards Finalist for Family Entertainment. Their space, with 16,000 square feet of family fun can be enjoyed by all, rain, or shine. Inside, you’ll find elaborate exhibits with lights, smoke, noise, and many ways to “get your hands dirty” working on the railroad! From extravagant craftsmanship to hands-on tables and themed railroad tracks through mountains, valleys, and past rivers, the Model Trains Station brings the railroad alive.
During a visit this winter, you’re sure to enjoy their immersive environment filled with model trains that ride through twelve different themed displays surrounding a highly detailed static circus train, an electrified Lionel Thomas the Train table, and lots of interactive buttons for the Little Engineers in your family too.
When you visit Taylors Mill, a factory dating back to 1920 in Taylors, SC, you’ll find one of the finest adaptive reuse projects in the country. But don’t take our word for it!
In August 2022, Taylors Mill was featured by Livability as an interesting example of the concept of “adaptive reuse" by — transforming an existing building into something other than what it was built or used for originally.
As you “pull out of the station” be sure to explore all the property has to offer. From a restaurant to a brewery, an arcade, amusements, and artist galleries open during events like First Fridays, there’s plenty to do on your way to Greer just 25 minutes from downtown Greenville.
Model Trains Stations at Taylors Mill is located at 250 Mill Street, Taylors
