South Carolina Film Incentive Program

Bring Your Vision to Life in South Carolina—and Get Paid to Do It

South Carolina rolls out the red carpet for filmmakers with one of the most competitive, straightforward incentive packages in the country. Our cash rebate program is easy to use, fast to pay, and built to fuel your production. See below for details on the State Incentive Program:

  • Up to 25% Cash Back on Wages
    • 25% on In-State Wages
    • 20% on Out-of-State Wages
  • Up to 30% Cash Back on In-State Goods & Services
    • 30%+ on In-State Supplies
    • 25% on Out-of-State Supplies
  • Sales Tax Exemptions on Rentals, Equipment & Supplies
  • No Fees for State Locations (on select public properties)
  • Production Tax Credits for SC Investors

And here’s the best part: your rebate funds are reserved up front, and your check is cut within 30-45 days of audit. That’s money you can count on when you need it most.
