Greenville Center for Creative Arts

The mission of Greenville Center for Creative Arts (GCCA) is to enrich the cultural fabric of our community through visual arts promotion, education, and inspiration. Founded by a group of artists, teachers, and community leaders, the Art Center offers programs for people of all ages, backgrounds, and economic circumstances.

Participants at GCCA can enjoy a large roster of art classes, offered both in person and online, summer camp programs for children, and rotating exhibits in three different gallery spaces located in the historic Brandon Mill complex in the Village of West Greenville.

In addition to its art classes, GCCA is open to the public and free to visit Tuesday-Friday, 9am-5pm, and Saturdays, 11am-3pm. The Art Center is also open for extended hours, 9am to 9pm, on the First Friday of every month as part of the Metropolitan Arts Council’s “First Friday” art walk. At GCCA, you’ll have the opportunity to meet a variety of resident working artists, see their studio space and works in progress, and learn more about their personal style and artistic process.

Greenville’s Downtown Trolley (Route 903) provides visitors to the downtown area easy and free transport to the area from April through September, every Thursday and Friday, 6pm to 11pm, and Saturdays, 5:30pm to 11pm. For real-time scheduling, download the FindGreenlink app on your phone and come see them!

  • Description Greenville Center for Creative Arts (GCCA) was established to enrich the cultural fabric of the community through visual arts promotion, education, and inspiration. Founded by a dedicated group of artists, teachers, and community leaders, the Art Center offers programs for people of all ages, backgrounds, and economic circumstances. With rotating exhibits in three different gallery spaces located in the historic Brandon Mill complex in the Village of West Greenville, GCCA also has venue spaces available for rent for artists, private and public events. Their largest space, approximately 6,300 square feet, is the perfect location for small to midsize events looking to have a little bit of South Carolina history added to the mix. GCCA has many large windows that are original to the building and allow an abundance of natural light in. There are exposed original wood beams throughout the building, and 13-to-30 foot ceilings that give the space a more loft-like open concept look. Spaces available could be used for photoshoots, conferences, events, private gatherings, and more.
