Currently, Aloft Greenville Downtown and the Travelers Rest / N Greenville KOA (campsites only) allow pets with no additional fees, whereas other lodging options may charge a small fee to bring your pet.

In Greenville, SC, and surrounding towns of Greenville County, there are 50+ food & beverage spots that can accommodate pets. Most of these have outdoor dining areas or patios to enjoy the destination's mild climate throughout the majority of the year, and in cooler months, some may provide outdoor heaters.
Local favorites are Unleashed Dog Bar, Greenville's first completely dog-friendly bar with an outdoor fenced-in play area, or The Dapper Dog Bark & Brew in Mauldin, where you can grab beer or coffee while your pup plays in their "bark yard."
*No pets are allowed at the TD Saturday Market, but they have the perfect view of it from the shady patio here, with water bowls provided.
**Keep in mind, while taprooms allow dogs inside, our breweries generally limit them to the patio.

Outdoor Events Where Pets Are Welcomed in Greenville
Bring your furry friend (big or small) to bid farewell to the dog days of summer with a splash! Typically held in September, Waggin' at the Waterpark marks the end of summer and is designated as a dog-only day at local waterparks, Discovery Island Waterpark, and Otter Creek Waterpark. Another annual favorite is the Papa Johns Mutt Strut, which benefits the Greenville Humane Society as hundreds of participants walk or run a 2-mile route through Downtown Greenville—pets are welcome to join on the route as long as they're leashed and adhere to race rules.

Enjoy the Great Outdoors with Your Pup or Take a Walk in the Park
The Greater Greenville area has four dog parks to visit and play in, with locations in Greenville, Simpsonville, and Taylors & Greer. Popular parks for dog-walking and the best sightseeing are Falls Park on the Reedy, the Downtown 32-acre park with the Reedy River Falls as its natural focal point, Conestee Nature Preserve, where your dog can explore over 600 acres of wetlands, forests, and trails, or the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail System, a 28-mile trail that winds throughout the Upstate and features plenty of stops along the way for you and your pup to take a water break.
