The Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail
One of Greenville’s most popular outdoor attractions, offering 28 miles of scenic pathways for walking, running, and cycling.
Opened in 2009, the trail has become a community favorite, welcoming locals and visitors alike to explore its natural beauty and enjoy a variety of activities. Hop On, Hop Off
Greenville’s largest park offers activities like cycling, jogging, and playgrounds, plus access to the Greenville Zoo. The trail here connects directly to Falls Park.
This urban oasis features the Liberty Bridge, Reedy River Falls, and 32 acres of gardens and green spaces. Seasonal events, like the Upstate Shakespeare Festival, add to its charm.
Unity Park blends recreation and nature with playgrounds, basketball courts, and a welcome center. The trail winds through its 60 acres, alongside the Reedy River and The Commons.
Enjoy Furman’s picturesque campus with a tranquil lake, iconic bell tower, rose garden, and connecting trails open to the public.
The northern end of the trail leads to Travelers Rest, a charming town with great dining and Gateway Park, featuring mountain biking and skills courses.
Located at the southern end, this 600-acre wildlife sanctuary features wetlands, forests, and trails perfect for hikers, bikers, and birdwatchers.

No bike? No problem. Whether you’re catching the trail north or south, Greenville’s got quick, easy, and convenient bike rental options. Sunrift Adventures, located on the trail in Travelers Rest, rents out cruisers for full and half days, plus road and mountain bikes for full days. Downtown, Swamp Rabbit riders can hook up with Reedy Rides for rentals and bike tours, seven days a week. And it’s a snap to pick up an electric-assist bike at one of the stations downtown via Greenville BCycle’s bike-share program. Pedego Electric Bikes Greenville in Hampton Station also specializes in e-bike rentals, while Carolina Triathlon at The Commons is a convenient place to rent almost any type of bike directly on the Swamp Rabbit Trail.

Ride Bikes.”, will give you a clue to the philosophy of this wildly popular stop on the Swamp Rabbit Trail—a great place to take a break or stock up on provisions for the ride. In addition to the grocery store, the café offers fresh-made sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, baked goods, smoothies, and coffee. Stake out a spot at one of the outdoor picnic tables and you’ll most likely make a new friend at what has become a community gathering place.
