The Urban League of the Upstate, Inc.

The mission of the Urban League of the Upstate is to advance equity by empowering the Black community and underserved individuals throughout the region.

Founded in 1972 in Greenville, the office spearheads the efforts of the Urban League of the United States through signature programs and public policy advocacy. In addition to their work in Greenville county, the organization also provides direct services to residents in 6 other counties throughout the Upstate.

Community partnerships have been created to address complex issues at a systematic level in four priority areas:
1. Education & Youth Development: Ensuring every child is ready for college, work, and life
2. Jobs, Entrepreneurship, & Business Development: Ensuring all can adequately support themselves and their families.
3. Housing and Community Development: Ensuring all can live in neighborhoods that are vibrant and thriving.
4. Health & Quality of Life: Ensuring every person has access to quality and affordable healthcare solutions.
