You Can Park — Downtown!
There’s nothing more frustrating than arriving in a new city for the first time and spending your first hour hunting for a parking space. In downtown Greenville, you’ll find ample parking in a variety of forms. With more than 800 free on-street parking spots and 14 public parking facilities, there’s no shortage of parking! Crowds of all sizes can be accommodated downtown. You’ll also find bike racks conveniently located throughout the downtown area. Visitors with disability placards or license plates have special accessibility benefits which are listed here.
We all want to park within a few feet of our destination. And, of course, we all want to do it at the same time. Since Greenville has so much to offer downtown, parking is better with a little planning and a nice map:
The good news is that on-street parking is free (be sure and watch for time limits), as is the first hour of parking in city garages. The second hour is $2, $1/hour after that, and $7 for the entire day. Garage parking for special events is generally a flat $10. Each parking garage features an automated Pay-in-Lane station, which accepts credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express), and parking vouchers. The City of Greenville is partnering with the mobile parking app, ParkMobile, to make parking in paid lots a seamless experience. ParkMobile may be used for all downtown parking garages, and it is available for both Android and iOS devices.
