Clare’s Creamery has two friendly neighborhood ice cream shops offering seasonal (think Peppermint Hot Chocolate), specialty (we enjoyed Richer Than Bezos), and dairy-free (try the Coconut) flavors, as well as traditional favorites. At coffeehouse and creamery Spill the Beans, start with a vanilla or chocolate soft-serve ice cream or a yogurt base, and then get creative. With over 75 flavors of homemade, fresh ice cream and unlimited mix-ins, Marble Slab was the first on the scene to use a frozen-slab technique to serve up small-batch creations. Imagination has no limits here and all cravings will be satisfied. Downtown Greenville (108 N. Main St.)

River Street Sweets • Savannah's Candy Kitchen offers made-from-scratch ice cream and gelato flavors ranging from Key Lime Pie to Tiramisu to Banana Pudding. Sprinkle on some of their famous crispy, crackly peanut butter and pralines for an extra sugar rush! Downtown Greenville (12 S. Main St.)

Stanley’s Ice Cream, a family-run business that opened back in 2011, aims to provide the Greenville community with quality Hershey's ice cream and friendly service!  With approximately 50 flavors to choose from, this Hispanic-owned shop has a goal of catering to every craving. (3601 E. North St.)

🍦 OUR FLAVORITE: Green Mint Chip​ 🍦

Serving both Blue Bunny and Hershey brands of ice cream, this adorable ice cream shop beckons you in with its pink door and outdoor seating. Pink Mama's offers 24+ scooptacular flavors, ice cream floats, coffee treats, sundaes, malts, and milkshakes! (11 S. Main St., Travelers Rest)

🍦 OUR FLAVORITE: Green Mint Grasshopper Sundae (Green Mint Chip ice cream covered in hot fudge, whipped cream, and crushed Oreos—with a cherry on top!) 🍦

A total throwback! Offering treats such as milkshakes, malts, sundaes, homemade (gigantic) cakes, and more, these two SC-certified roadside markets showcase Southern hospitality at its finest and also let you take home fresh produce. Located in Simpsonville, SC, this seasonal walk-up ice cream stand is serving up fan-favorite flavors with a wide variety of unique toppings (from Orange Creamsicle, Coconut Fudge Ripple & Pineapple Upside-Down Cake), along with smoothies, sundaes, and other frozen treats. Molly and Myles Ice Cream serves Chicago-based Homer’s Ice Cream (and 8 kinds of house-made cereal cones), in a charming shop designed by kids for kids. The vibe screams superheroes, fidget spinners, toilet seats, toys, and all-around fun. (2123 Augusta St.)

Since joining the Fork Shoals community in 1986, the Yum-Yum Snack Shop & Café’s mission was to create a place for people to gather in a friendly atmosphere. After giving the historic mill house that is the Yum-Yum Snack Shop a little TLC, a hidden gem came to life to serve locals and visitors delicious bites from a monster muffin, sandwiches, soups, and everyone’s favorite…ice cream!  (1107 McKelvey Rd., Pelzer)
