M&G is currently closed to the public to pursue a much-improved building off the campus of Bob Jones University in order to make the collection more accessible.

M&G is known as “one of America’s largest and most interesting collections of European Old Master paintings,” and its Baroque paintings (from the 1600s) represent one of the most important collections in America.

The breadth of the collection reveals—on a grand scale—the artistic, social, and religious history of Western Europe from the 1300s through 1800s, and includes compelling works by the great masters such as Rubens, van Dyck, Reni, Tintoretto, Le Brun, Cranach, and Ribera as well as notable students of da Vinci and Rembrandt.
